Before joining Evergreen, Akili has worked in policy research, for a congressional campaign, and as a Legal Assistant at Proskauer Rose. She also volunteered with the Justice Education Project to draft research on the relationship between AI and criminal justice advocacy. She graduated from Boston University studying Political Science and Sociology.

Outside of work you can find her running around New York City trying out new restaurants with loved ones, at the nearest archery range, or reviewing the newest movie/show.
